    Depression, anxiety attacks
Hi I have posted in the relationship advice section as well.

But wanted to know if anyone could help regarding my main issue of my anxiety attacks.
I lived a very scared and un confident child hood, I have gone through a lot of stress to.
And just recently because of my relationship problems , I've finally hi rock bottom and I feel depressed. And I'm have occasional panic/anxiety attacks. My mind won't stop thinking about my fiancé, this is just because I want her back in my life because I love her.

But what can I do to control these attacks and periods of worry. My doctor has me on various anti depressants, and I have a apointment with a consultant physiatrist on Tuesday at a call price of 300pound

    Hi there,

I too have panic attacks and anxiety disorder. When mine hit I feel like I can't breath and my heart races. I have found that deep breaths and talking to myself helps. I tell myself that everything is OK and breath as I do it. I often put ice on my wrists or run my hands under very cold water. One other technique that worked for me was to have someone make me laugh. It draws me out of my attack and takes my mind off what caused the attack.

When these started I tracked when each one would occur; the time of day, the length, and I logged what I was doing when they first came on. I found that they occurred the most when I was tired and most often in the middle of the night or when things finally slowed down and I had time to think. I recommed doing the same thing. It will help both you and your doctors determine what triggers your attack.

    Best of luck to you.
