Hello all,
I moved to cincinnati 8 years go to be with my wife who is from cincinnati, we have since gotten divorced. I have stayed here for about a year recovering and rebuilding my life, I have alt of good friends here and a very good job. The biggest thing preventing me from moving back to philly was the sale of my house, now that it potentially sold, its time to make a choose to stay in cincinnati, or move back home to philadelphia to be with family again. Keep in mind I see my family twice a year, where its only a 9 hour drive, so its not like I see them, and the internet, phone, stuff like that makes it easy.
Its down to leaving friends, and very good job and everyone else I have known for 8 years to live at my parents house again, find a job starting on the bottom. A lot has changed since I lived there last, people have changed, old friends moved away, some have died, but its still home. It may sound silly to some, but I need a unbiased view. Thank you.

After 8 years sorry it is where you used to live and some family live, it is not really "home" and while of course living there may be better than where you are at, it will never be the way you remember it being.

So you can't go back wanting what it used to be, you go back looking to just be better than where you are now.

Do you not have friends where you are at, maybe started dating again, what about your entire life you have made lately

Well that is just it, I have a lot of friends here in cincinnati, and I have started dating again. A lot of me wanting to move back home is EVERYONE else wanting me to come back home, I know it is not the way it was and I'm somewhat expecting it to be, and I know I will be disappointed. I have nothing "better" waiting for me, where as here in cincinnati, I have a very good job with respect, and a lot of friends who "DONT" want me to leave. Its sad when I do visit philly for a week, no one really cares to go out of there way to see ME, its always the other way around. Other then my dad and mom, that's about it.
I think I awnsered my question.
