What is the name of a pill that is light green, small, and oval shaped that is prescribed for depression or perhaps anxiety

Explain a bit more, do you know the marking of this pill or you just found a small green pill and someone told you its for anxiety.

Usually people have a complete description and want to know what it is, you seem to already know what the drug is...

Anyway from the information I have there are dozens of light green oval shaped pills so it would be hard to read what each one is for, do you know anything else about it?

No I took it years ago and I do not remember the name. All I know is that it made my sexual drive go crazy and then I would literally pass out.
It was the only medication that helped me sleep.

Someone's prescription pills should never be used this way. If you want to identify the pill, take it to a pharmacy and have them do it for you.

Have you tried an actual sleep aid? Like tylenol pm or whatver. This is probably bad and I don't think you should be taking any medication because you liked the side effect.

In any case there are literally dozens of little green pills so it wouldn't be possible to identify it this way.

I think she is trying to remember the name of the drug that she used to take.

Well that was the reason I was prescribed it because I could not sleep at all and had a lot of stress factors in my life. I did not like the sexual side effects. I was just saying how it made me feel to help in describing the medication.
I have been on many sleep aids prescribed and non prescription. Tylenol PM and Advil PM do not put me to sleep. Rather they attack my nervous system making me very irritated, angry, makes my whole body twitch, shake, make me have spasms like crazy. It also made my mind totally alert and awake that I could even hear the water from the sink dripping.
My doctor told me about my nervous system and also advised me strongly not to take them anymore.
The reason I wanted to know about the pill was because it was the only medication that helped me get my much needed sleep.
I can go for like 4-5 days without a wink of sleep and then I will just drop for like 3-4 hours of exhaustion.
This is no way to live. They have prescribed me many medications but none of them work or if they work they only work for like 2 nights and then not anymore.
I literally do not want to die or become very ill from exhaustion, nor do I want anything drastic to happen to me lie falling asleep at the wrong time.
All I would like is to sleep like a regular person.
That is why I wanted to know if anyone knew about this medication. Only because it was the only medication that helped me.
I am not a person to misuse or not follow taking medications as they are exactly prescribed.
For all I know it may not even be around anymore.

Well if you go to the same doctor as before he should still have the old prescrition listed in your file, or if you have a new doctor they should be able to get your records from the previous doctor with your signature on the request for your file.

I apologize. I misunderstood you, I thought you were taking someone else's prescrpitions for your own satisfaction.

A copy of the prescription for this pill should be in your medical record. Have you talked to your doctor about looking in your record and trying to find it?

You can also contact the pharmacy where you had them filled.

Do you perhaps remember any markings on the pills?

No I have not. This was like back in 1995-1998 so I do not remember the doctor that I was seeing back then. I called the pharmacy where the prescription was filled a while back, but they do not keep records that far back.
I have called my pharmacist and he told me 2 medications that it may be but neither of them was it.
Like I said I am not sure if it is around anymore.
I would like to thank all of you for your help. I really do appreciate it!
I will keep looking to find out.
And as I stated before I would never use a medication other than the way it should be used, though I am sure a lot of people would love it for the sexual side effect, I am not one of them!
And thank you so very much again.

All I remember is how the medication looked. I looked up some medications and it actually looks like the 25mg dose of Zoloft but I do not ever remember taking that medication.
I was told to get the medical records I would have to know the dotcor's name and I can't remember that.
    So I guess I am stuck. :<(
