Lortab (hydrocodone and acetaminophen, 10/500 mg)
I found your original post was vague but it's also possible that I over-analyzed it. My apologies.
In explanation, drugs are absorbed, distributed and eliminated via various metabolic pathways. Therefore, system might have various meanings, blood, plasma, urine, etc. I now assume you mean the final avenue of detection, being urine.
Hydrocodone, in standard dosage, is usually not detected in urine by ordinary testing methodology. Only in large quantity is it likely to be detected. That is due to cutoffs (lowest limits of reportable detection) for various substances as opposed to sensitivity of instruments. It can be detected by the same instruments by simply using lower settings.
That returns to your initial presentation. How long can it be detected in biologic fluids (urine)? In the vicinity of 4 days. But that time frame is necessarily inexact as it is dependent on individual metabolism.
I notice, in an earlier post that you questioned previous usage. That can be a factor due to accumulation in tissues and residual metabolites.
Overall, a four (4) day maximum elimination period is reasonable given the facts presented. If heavy and prolonged previous usage exists, add 48 hours.
Should you have further questions please advise.
