I am in middle Tennessee and I found some pills in my college sons car. They are being kept in a zip lock bag and some are even tied up in a little bitty baggy like drugs are kept. They appear to be dark grey with lighter grey speckles. They look to be smooth without and pics or numbers on them. I thought I might have seen a marajuana leaf on one which would mean it is either speed or ecstasy. When asked he said it was a pill to make sure you passed a drug urine test. He said it could be googled, and I said funny I couldn't find it anywhere. He said it could be bought at wal mart. I said what is it called, and he said it does not have a name. This all soun ds funny to me. He then said if he was getting high we would know and I said how, you never stay home. I have looked up urine detox pills and they do exist but I can't find any pics of the actual pills. Tell me you opinion please. I have searched all the pill pic web sites and this one is not on it. Thanks.

My next question would be "Why are you taking them, since....."

If he got it at Walmart, it wouldn't be a no name pill, and frankly, it would have a number or a stamp on it, indicating what it is.

I'd take this to a pharmacist, but be prepared that this may be something illegal, and you could be in a great deal of trouble simply having it in your possession, even though you're not the one taking it.

The only thing I can tell you for sure is that your son is lying to you.

I agree, first why is he taking a drug test ? And why is he worried about passing it.

I don't understand why if it was a pot leave it had to be something else ? There is no connection there.

It is a illegal drug and now you need to think how you want to deal with it.

Thank you both. I agree he is lying and we told him as much. He is my step son and I let my husband handle issues with his older kids, I just support him. I knew he would ask and his son would come up with some lie to cover himself. I guess he will be allowed to get away with this also, seeing as how he still smokes and drinks when he is not home. If you have younger kids, I would warn against "letting him get away with it" they will see it and assume you are accepting it.

I think you and your husband need to have a strong talk about drug use and ( if younger kids are in the home) how his actions can effect them. Doing nothing means you accept the action.

While for most things I do believe that step kids need to be handled by their parent, but some issues, and drug use is one of them, that may require the step parent having some serious talks to the other parent.

I agree with you, however after 23 years my husband is pretty set in his ways. We have two girls together 14 & 11. They know the things my step kids di is unacceptable. They also complain about how they get away with everything. Teach my girls netter. They see how the others suffer and do without. While my step son will not get the punishment he deserves, he will suffer and do without. I have provided for them for all these years their mom wouldn't. Thanks.
