    What type of doctor should I see:
    What type of doctor should I see for removal of cysts from my scalp? General Surgeon or Dermatologist?

    I would say a dermatologist in order to diagnose and then a general surgeon, although the dermatologist might be able to remove the "cysts," if that's what they are.

    Yes, that's why I said to consult with a surgeon ALTHOUGH a dermatologist "might" be able to remove a cyst - which is done in my area, depending on the size of the cyst.

    I had mine removed by a general surgeon. The roots of the cysts are typically much deeper than the cyst appears.

    I had one and my dermatologist removed it - not saying it's a good idea, just saying that he did it. Again, depends on the size - and what your health insurance will allow.
