    African Mango Plus?
    Hi,

I'm a 16-year-old girl. I've heard quite a lot about the African Mango Plus. I've heard mostly wonderful things about them. I've seen Dr. Oz talk about how effective they are and how they're definitely not like other diet supplements. My sister is currently taking them to lose weight. So far, she lost 20-30 pounds in 2 months. I can honestly say that I am in fact eating healthy and excercising frequently. All I want to do is to be able to lose more weight and be more energized. I guess my question is, can I take African Mango Plus even if I'm 16 years old?

I believe Dr. Ox to be a quack in my opinion. At 16 years old I would focus on being active, being diligent about portion control and eating healthy - basically making small lifestyle changes that stay with you. That's the best way to be fit and stay fit. I cannot stress enough that being active is an integral part to this - you can't eat yourself thin. :-)

On their own they will NOT assist weight loss, but when used with a reduced and controlled calorie diet they give good focus and placebo effect.
20-30 pounds in 2 months is NOT realistic unless grossly overweight and certainly NOT due to taking this supplement.

She is overweight. She takes them AND excercises as well. That is quite possible. Also, she maintains a healthy diet. This supplement is just there to help her more. Unfortunately, it's true. No matter how many times you say it's "impossible" well, it's not. I wouldn't lie about that whatsoever.

I didn't say impossible, just unrealistic.
This kind of rapid weight loss is NOT what everyone will achieve, but good, balanced diet coupled with increased aerobic activity will work wonders, especially for the overweight.
As I said earlier the placebo effect of the supplement helps to focus the activity greatly.

So unless YOU are grossly overweight, taking this supplement will have little to no overall effect, as you already claim to have a good diet and exercise.

Thank you. All I want to know is if I can take it at this age? I don't see why not. I just need someone's opinion.

There's no harm in taking this supplement at any age, as it does very little.

It's another diet fad, it'll go away.
