Once allergic to alcohol, but not anymore?
I've had what amounts to an allergic reaction anytime I drank anything with alcohol in it. It didn't matter what type of liquor it was or how much, I would break out in a bright red rash that would itch and feel hot to the touch (or at least to me).

That is, until Monday when I tried a glass of merlot. The same type of merlot (brand and 'flavor') that had previously made me break out.

I was told my a nurse practitioner that it could have been caused by a miscarriage I had in 2010.

What the heck would cause this reaction to suddenly go away?? Not that I'm complaining. Not at all! But I am a bit baffled by the sudden vanishing of the allergy.

    Many thanks!!
