    Yeast infection?
    Okay
I'm almost certain I have this thing called "Yeast infection"
I have had this for a while,at first I thought it was pin worms, because I had white stuff, later on I realised it wasn't so I did a lot of research
I have white discharge, itchyness soreness
etc... I have it in my viginal area I really don't want to go to the doctors
Will they have to look down below to confirm it's a yeast infection?
I'm quiet nervous but I have had this for about a year:O help!

Yes, you have to go to the doctor. Yes, they have to do an exam. No, it's not a big deal - they look at people's private areas all day and won't think anything of it. A year is way too long (irresponsible) to let any medical condition to continue - might as well get used to going for vaginal exams because you will need them annually for the rest of your life, monthly and then even more frequent when you become pregnant with your first child...

If it makes you embarrassed, go to a woman doctor and be aware, she has to have the exams, too.

Suffering for a year rather than going to a doctor? That's crazy.

You could try the over the counter stuff if that's what you really think it is but I bet that you've waited long enough that you'll need to see a doctor anyway.

Yes - really, you need to get over the embarrassment of having a vaginal exam. Nobody likes medical exams, but when you realize that these exams are what these doctors have chosen to do for a living, you will realize that they don't think it's weird and don't want you to be embarrassed. You don't have anything they haven't seen before countless times.

None of us have perfect bodies - we all have things we'd rather other people not see but you know, we have to take care of our health. Five minutes of embarrassment is nothing compared to a year of discomfort and worry, follwed by having to go through the five minutes of embarrassment anyway.

My rule is this - if I have to do something that makes me uncomfortable, I do it immediately. That decreases the discomfort because I spend far less time worrying about it and dreading it - get it over with and move on with your life.

You will find that after the first medical exam, you will feel less uncomfortable the next time around.

Is your fear of doctors the reason you haven't taken your daughter to the doctor despite the bad rash she has?
