We have gas logs.just a flu. No wood burning. It smells like something dead coming from the fireplace. We don't Know who to call. Can you help?

I am moving into a house that has paneling in the kitchen. There is an odor comes from the paneling that is all over the house. I tried to wash the paneling with Murphys Oil but the odor got worse. Please help me. I am moving in in 2 days.

I myself feel a foul odor in the nose, more so in the morning . What could be the cause. Could it be related to a slight swelling in the gum which is not painful. Tooth is also not loose.
