    Candida vaginitis & mono
Hope someone can help. I have a 10 year old daughter who was just diagnosed with mono. Later that day she told me she had discharge which appears to be a yeast infection. There is some redness and some itching but no odor. Can mono cause vaginal yeast infection?

Yes, and no. If she is on antibiotics, then yes. Antibiotics can cause a yeast infection.

Infectious Mononucleosis itself is not known to be a cause of Candida (yeast). There may be other things going on and your doctor is the best to check it out.

Yes, this is possible... A yeast infection is a chemical imbalance in the body, and having Mono the body is obviously not on an even keel...
