    Lung Disease
I first had a collapsed lung back in l999. About a month ago, I ate lunch consisting of cottage cheese and yogurt and not long thereafter fell asleep. I awoke with severe wheezing and wondered if I would ever be able to catch my breath. I felt as if I were having an asthmatic attack. Can anyone comment on this?

    Monitor yourself
YOu state the incident occurred about a month ago, have you avoid dairy from your diet, was it only the one time.

Lung diseases vary; however, food allergies may be the cause of your wheezing, etc.

Monitor your body's response upon consuming products such as dairy, peanuts, shellfish, coffee, tea, candy, wine, etc. the list gos on

Sometimes we develop seasonal food allergies during high pollenation; however, if this is not the case and you continue to experience shortness of breath, wheezing, etc. seek your physician because it does not have to be a disease of the lungs, it could involve the heart. Remain alert and attentive to your symptoms... seek medical attention, do not try to self treat... like baking a cake... many of the same ingredients are needed; however, it is that one ingredient that changes a pound cake to a chocolate cake... likewise with medical conditions... many of the same traits can be presented, it is that one detail that identifies the condition.

    Lung disease
Thank you for the information. It did only happen one time. I somehow think also the air conditioner going full blast on my face, throat and neck contributed to this wheezing.

It would be wise also to hhave your air conditioner cleaned since fungus may grow & they can cause a hypersensitivity reaction too.
