    A Lump
Hi I'm 18yr old girl I had recently noticed a lump on my upper arm pit. I had it for a few days but one day I was poking at it and it ruptured oozing out blood and this thick puss type fluid. The next day I checked my armpit again and noticed another lump on the lower part of my armpit, now it has gotten so big I can't close my arm and I'm in intense pain and it just keep getting larger and larger what should I do? I don't have insurance so I can't go to a doctor is there any home remedies?? And what is this lump?!

Even if you don't have insurance, you have to seek some sort of proper medical assistance. The good news is that it's not likely to be anything sinister like cancer, but it's clearly causing you a lot of pain and is getting worse. Chances are it's an infection of some sort and a course of antibiotics will sort it out. But you need a proper medical diagnoses and the right treatment.

Do not attempt to treat something like this yourself with a home remedy.

Hi.. this sounds very similar to something I had on my back a few times, your symptoms are identical.

Big lump, very sore and irritating, went to the doctor who looked and told me it was a blocked sweat gland... quite common.

He said I would have to have a minor operation to lance it and get all the puss out then it would heal on it's own, so I made the appointment.

When I was driving one day it began to itch,so I started to rub against the back of the seat as I was in traffic and couldn't scratch,it was driving me crazy, when I got home having looked in the mirror I realized that I had actually burst this lump which was losing all this nasty stuff plus blood.

I cleaned it up, the lump was gone and the skin was now flat, so I dressed it, it healed and is now OK.

Yours sounds like it may be the same especially as you say it's in the armpit.Make sure you keep it clean, wiping away all the puss etc... hopefully when it's all out it should heal.

You should see a doctor in case of infection where you may need anti-biotics, but I know you said you have no insurrance,is there any member of the family that is in the medical field or maybe you have a pharmacy, like we do here, that will look and give advice?

Here in the uk we have drop in centres, places you can just walk in if you need help, are there any of those where you are or is there some sort of system where you can pay a little at a time, perhaps your family could help you out knowing how worried you are.. I hope so, try not to worry.

A Lump? [ 1 Answers ]

This is kind of awkward... but, recently I found that I have a small lump on the inside of my.. ehm... butt? I have no idea what it is and am concerned it might be a tumor.
