    Liver Function Test
    Does the ALT Range 7 to 55
    And the AST range 8-48
    Seem correct.

    Women had a reading of Alt 30
    AST 38

    Ranges may be different based on what testing protocol is used. Using the supplied ranges, the liver function is normal.

    The normal range of values for ALT (SGPT) is about 7 to 56 units
    &
    AST (SGOT) is about 5 to 40 .

    These tests indicate damage or inflammation of the liver, far more serious the just determining function.

    The readings tour friend have fall within normal limits. Everything is okay.
