    Hypothyroidism and Cholesterol Management
I am 48 years old and have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism and have been put on Levoxyl. My LDL cholesterol is elevated. I return to my MD in 5 weeks for blood work to see if my Levoxyl dosage needs to be adjusted. Will my OB/GYN, who diagnosed the condition, also monitor and control my cholesterol or do I need to see a primary care MD? How long does it usually take to lower your LDL after being on Levoxyl? I have been watching what I eat and exercising on a regular basis.
