There are a lot of laxatives on the market, including fiber-based ones like psyllum husk.

The gas may be a symptom of a reaction to some type of food.

Since it seems to be a trigger for a lot of people, try cutting wheat out of your diet for a week, and see if that helps.

    Hi Eileen,

Laxatives always have some sort of side effect... gurgling.. bubbly.. flatulants etc..

Foods with lactose in them in some people cause this, you'd be amazed how many foods contain lactose, leading to a lactose intolerance.

Before you go to bed at night try taking a dose of stomach liquid, the sort they use for heart burn/acid stomach, like GAVISCON they do an aniseed flavour which is nicer I think than the peppermint, what ever your preference really.alternativly you can buy it over the counter at the local supermarket, their own brand is not only the cheapest but works the best, let it be the last thing you put into your stomach at night before bed. Most times after you've had a few cups of tea in the morning it will allow you to pass motions freely, which will also relieve the gas.

Also leave bran, sprouts, baked beans etc... anything you know will give you a bad about of wind.Drink lots of fluid... not coke or anything with gas, make it still drinks, tea or coffee that sort of thing

Let me know how you get on.. use the stomach liquid EVERY night.

Gas dryer trouble with flame [ 1 Answers ]

My Kenmore gas dryer takes 2 or 3 cycles to do what it used to in 1 cycle. Observing the flame, it runs about 45 seconds then cuts off even with a full wet load.
