    Finger Joint pain
The index finger of my right hand has been hurting for about a week now for no reason that I can think of. I don't believe I caused it any trauma and there is no apparent swelling or bruising. However, every time I bend the finger or use it when typing the joint hurts and feels like it has been stabbed. Any ideas?

First of all let me say that I LOVE your screen name!!

I had something similar once before. It hurt for a few weeks then miraculously was gone. If you remember no trauma and do not have arthritis of any kind, I would venture to guess that you may have "bumped" it and not remembered. Not bad enough to bruise the outer layer of skin mind you, but just enough to irritate the tissue underneath.

If it does not clear up in a few days it may be a good idea to have it checked out.
