    Cut on hands exceptionally painful
Whenever my husband gets a cut on his hands he seems to find it exceptionally painful (he swoons like he might faint from the pain and the cut still hurts days later). Why does it happen? What can I do? Last time I took him to Urgent Care. They gave him Vicadin and wrapped it with steri-strips... and billed us $1200. Now he's done it again and we can't afford to take him in unless there is a real issue.

Sounds like he can't has an intolereable pain thesshold and can't stand the sight of blood. He has to get over that, and you have to help him by understanding what is going on. Tell you what, get a lot of good looking dressings and some polysporin and really sympathize while you are dressing the wound. It might work.
