    Catch in ankle?
I have been having this catch in my ankle on and off for a long time. But recently I have it 5 to 7 times a day well actually more like every time I walk. I just doesn't want to bend or can't handle any weight at all and then if I role it like I am trying to pop it it helps and then I can walk for a little bit w/ no problem it is really strange and getting more painful. I don't have any insurance right now I am trying to get a new job or even get on my husbands insurance. I just didn't know if anyone else had had this problem before:confused:

Actually, yes, I have had this same problem. I have a diagnosed ankle instability resulting from a severe foot fracture and sprained ankle several years ago. The injuries have healed, but the ankle instability and popping (catching) remain. So I am wondering if you also have some ligament instability in your ankle? Do you have any funds right now to maybe get an orthotic made for your shoe? That really helps support the foot and ankle and reduces the symptoms you've described. If you can't afford a specially made orthotic, you could start with the over-the-counter type and see if that provides support to keep the ankle from "catching" all the time. I know that my orthotics have made a 100% improvement in my ankle symptoms.

I wish you all the best!

I have ligament instability in my ankle I would say because I roll this ankle all the time. No I do not have funds to get an orthotic made. I do know that my other ankle has some pretty severe calcium deposits in it about 9 years ago I got in a wreck and they thought that I broke my other ankle but they told me that the calcium deposits were because of cheerleading could some of the calcium deposits have broke loose and be getting caught in the joint.
