Also, I have rashes, 3 different kinds, (ER trip got an Epi shot, rash went away, (I was itching really bad, felt horrible, went to ER, high blood pressure, fever, and triple rash and itching, got a epi shot, and even my depression got better,) went to a Derm, she said I have what they call an itch that rashes)
I'm lactating, (not so much now; 4 months ago, spontaneous, and as the months go, its less and less, I am not pregnant)

The dexamethasone test you had done was probably testing for Cushings. Myself, I would also ask them to test for hypoparathyroidism since your calcium is low. Look it up and see if any of your symptoms fit this category and then talk to your doctor. It sounds like they a trying to find out what is wrong, and that is a good thing.

Keep going to the doctor and trying to find out what is going on. If you aren't getting any satisfaction with one, then find another. Never give up.

A thyroid and parathyroid are two entirely different glands and tests. You have 4 parathyroid glands located behind the thyroid. These small (grain of rice small) glands secrete PTH which controls the calcium levels in your system, as well as your "sense of well being". It does other things too, but I don't want to go into a lot of mumbo jumbo detail. I would suggest you Google parathyroid, or hypoparathyroidism and check to see if any of the symptoms match yours. If they do, then I would insist on the doctor running an intact PTH level to rule this out as a cause of the low calcium. In fact, with a low calcium level I think I would ask for this test anyway. Good Luck and please keep us posted know what happens.
