Boils... boils.. boils... Help me please!!
I have a very bad problem with boils... Right now I have about 4 to 5 on my body at this time... and I don't know what is causing them... lately I've been getting them around my bra line. And when they burst they are leaving gapping holes under my breast, on my back, on my sides and in my growing area... I've had three surgicly removed from my growing and has left ugly ugly scars. I've lanced about 20 since I was about 17 to now which I'm now 32 and I've also had doctors lance them as well.. does anyone know what I can do to stop these from coming back... I've tried everything please help me. If I don't get help now I'm going to end up looking like swiss cheese soon.

    Thanks

    Boils
    Hi,
If you go to http://www.google.com, and type in "What causes boils on the body", without quotes, then click on Search, you will find many, many links to research.

    Here is just one:

    http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/ate/infections/203813.html

This particular one suggest seeing a doctor for a blood test and a urine sample tested. Boils can be caused by not having enough of some type of minerals, etc, in the body.
See a doctor, maybe a Dermotologist; and explain that you want to know why; not just to get one healed.
    Best of luck,
    fredg

hi! Anytime I have had a boil the doctor said is due to infection and usually comes on from a absysed tooth. Bingo every time! I recently went to Rite aid and bought this tube called Draw Out Salve. It's for boils and a very smelly dark green goo. If you apply it for 3 days it will bring the boil to a head and come out easily with no scarring. Try it it's great! But I do advise you to maybe have an exray done on your teeth. My absessed tooth didn't even hurt while infected but once the tooth were gone; the boils no longer came back!. Good lick!

You may have a condition called "hidradenitis suppurativa". Do a Google search on that exact phrase and you will find a number of websites with information. Also, instead of lancing them, go to a health food store and look for tea tree oil. (Some pharmacies carry it now too.) As soon as you start to feel a boil developing, use a qtip and put one drop of the tea tree oil on the inflamed skin. Try one drop in the morning and one at night. It often helps to dry them up before they ever really erupt. Good luck!

Well it kind of sounds like you might be a carrier of a staph type infection. I would say try using an anti bacterial body wash when showering this may help.

Thank you all for your help. I've tried some of the things that you've said to do, as in the antibactirial soap and I'm sorry to say nothing has really helped yet but I do want to thank you all for giving me some insight on what this problem that I have may be. You've all been really helpful to me, and again thank you.

I have had boils my whole entire life and it has been horrible , I'm now a 42 year old male and my first boils appeared at the age of about 13 or so , I was never over weight until I turned 35ish and even now I'm only 15 or 20 pounds over weight . So I have boils every day and I mean at least two of them , I suffered and suffered for years until one great day that I went to the doctors and he told me I was borderline diabetic and he wanted me to take metformin a pill for type two diabeties , so OK whatever I took the pills and after about two weeks I noticed I had not had a new boil and the ones I had were gone . So I run out of the pills and don't go back for the follow up because I'm to lazy and busy , well guess what... here come the boils a week after I stop taking the meds , so I go back to the doc and tell him I'm sorry and I mention that I had not had a boil while I was on the metformin and he said oh yeah boils love sugar , OK back on the meds every day no matter what and guess what... its been almost two years now and I have not had a single boil anywhere and I always had at least two working at all times ,my whole body is full of scars... I suffered in pain for years and if you are reading this you know the pain, Go to the doctors get your sugar checked or find a diabetic to give you some metformin for a few weeks and trust me your life will change forever . My doc said if I lose the 20 pounds I can stop taking the meds I said no way doc . Id rather be a little fat then suffer the way I did for 27 years . Good luck and I hope this helps
