How do I adjust the idle on my 1997 Ford F250 Heavy duty 5.8 liter pickup truck
My truck is idling too high and I am needing someone to explain to me why, Please. Because I have already adjusted the idle screw all the way down and it is still idling too high- is there any other way of adjusting my idle?

Had the truck towed home. When I turn the key the dash lights all come on and it wants to start but it will not turn over. This is a ford f250 6.0 liter diesel. Was driving along fine when I heard a slight pow and then the truck died.
