Similar polygons using proportions
There is 2 similar polygons one let's call it abc, ab=4.5 bc=5x ca=10.5. That is the first triangle. Okay now let's call the second triangle def,de congruent to ab is 3, Ef is confruent to because is y, and df is congruent to ca is 7. How do you solve for the variable x and y. My teacher told me to use proportions but I'm still stumped. Can you help me. Thanks.
