    What is the Answer to my Math Problem?
    An isosceles triangle has two sides of equal length. The length of the third side is 1 ft less than twice the length of an equal side. Find the length of each side when the perimeter is 23 ft.

    All isosceles triangles have two sides of equal length, just for the record, not just the one you described. Study some of the basics about triangles and the answer might become more apparent to you.
