To solve linear equations of two variables
you must have two linear equations.
To solve linear equations of three variables you must have three linear equations.
I shall be more than happy to teach you how to solve these.

You can not 'solve' an equation with two variables because it has infinite solutions for x and y that will satisfy it. But, if you just want to solve for x or y, then you're in luck.

What you have is the standard form equation of a line. To get it into slope intercept form, solve for y.

    First, divide by 3:

Now, just subtract 2x from both sides:

This is a line with slope -2 and crosses the y-axis at 27.
