    simple vs multiple regression
I have two independent variables X1 and X2 against one dependent variable (Y). If I use the ratio (X1/X2) as independent variable in a regression line will it be a simple or multiple regression?

If you use the ratio, you have only one independent variable so it's simple regression -- at least I think that's the way it works.
