    Question on Bearings Word Problems
    An airplane flying at 600 miles per hour has a bearing of S 34 degrees East. After flying three hours, how far south has the plane traveled from its point of departure?

    1. Make a sketch.
    2. Find the distance traveled in 3 hours.
    3. Find the triangle and identify the angles within the triangle.
    4. Use the trigonometric ratios you know to get how much South the plane has traveled.
