    How mant tons of sandy fill would be needed for a crawl space of 30 ft X 70 Ft. for a 16 inch depth?

    That depends on how much sandy fill weighs per cubic yard. Do you know that?

    (30*70*1.33)/27=104 cubic yards. Multiply that by how much it weighs per cubic yard and you're all set. Can you find that out? An educated guess would be 1/2 ton to the cubic yard.
    Therefore, you'd need about 52 tons.
