    How to solve this wooden board of 27 inches
    A wooden board 27 inches long is cut in 2 pieces so that the long piece is 3 inches less than 4 times as long as the shorter piece . Find the length of the 2 pieces

    You were given the one piece of the cut board we shall call X, and given the second board which is 4 times the X minus 3 inches from a total of 27 inches. WA-LA a formula to solve.

    Do the math.
