    Hi Srinathsaber...

The perimeter is the sum of all the sides. To find the perimeter of a house you'll want to measure all 4 sides of the house and add the total linear footage together. Here, if say two sides of the house are 24 feet and the other two sides of the house are 60 feet you'll have a perimeter of 60+60+24+24 = 168 linear feet.

To determine the square footage of the house you could take the length x width and that will give you a good approximation of the square footage of the home. Here, staying with the above example, your rough square footage of the house would be 60 x 24 = 1440 square feet. If you have a second floor you would double this amount for a square footage of 1440 +1440 = 2880 square feet, etc.

In terms of actual square footage you would actually go into every room in the house and measure the width and the length of each room, multiply them together and then add up all the rooms in the house to determine ACTUAL SQUARE FOOTAGE.

Let me know if you have any questions... OK?

Of course, if now, the house is not rectangular, it's another story of adding or perhaps even subtracting
