I am 26 years old and have not done algebra in a long time, how to I begin to start to solve:

    2x-10 x^2-49
(---------) ( ----------) both of these are in two separate paranethasises and it is x to the
x+7 x-7 power of 2. I need some help getting started. Like I said it has
    been forever.

So you have (2x-10)(x^2 - 49)? Is that the question?

I just need a firm grasp on the question and I can easily help you.

x^2 - 49 does factor to be (x-7)(x+7). I'm just not sure where the 2x -10 is coming from.

    Let me know.
