    First you need to make sure you have an anti-log table that is appropriate for the particular logarithm base that you are interested in - typically either log base 10, or log base 2, or log base e (the natural logarithm, typically written as "ln"). Usually the way these types of tables work is that you read down the left column to find the entry that is accurate to the number of significant digits it provides, then across to the column under the next significant digit. Thus if you want to find the entry for 0.235 you look down the rows to the line for 0.23, then across to the column labeled 005.
