    Answers to math word problems free?
    It usually takes Brian 1 1/2 hours to get to work from the time he gets out of bed. His drive to the office takes 3/4 hour. How much time does he spend getting ready for work?

    You've asked math questions that you should be able to solve before you can even finish typing the words.
    Anybody can give you free answers, but what good is that?
    You can spell, you can use a computer, you can subtract 2 fractions. Is it the subtraction that you think you can't do, or do you have a hard time with the concept of the problem?

    The Simpson family would like to paint of there bed rooms each wall of the room is 8ft tall and 17 feet long. Two the wall each have one window that measure 3f t by 4 ft the third wall has a door that measure 4ft by 7ft and the fourth wall is solid. How Many square feet of wall needs to be painted?

    matlocmj - pelase don't tag a new, unrelated question onto an old thread. Instead. You should ask a new question.

    However, there are two ways to address this. The easy way is to use the fact that the definition of acceleration is change in velocity divided by time, and here you have been given both of those parameters:



    Be sure to properly convert all your units to meters and seconds.

    The other way is to use the equation of motion:

    Here you have values for , and , so you can solve for .

    The interesting thing is that the two approach give two different answers, which means whoever set this problem up goofed; they over-constrained the problem by providing too much data.
