Smitty isn’t superstitious, but whenever she finds a coin in the street, she makes a wish and tosses it into a fountain. Last week, she hit the sidewalk jackpot. On each of six days (Monday through Saturday), she found a U.S. coin of a different denomination (penny, $0.01; nickel, $0.05; dime, $0.10; quarter, $0.25; half dollar, $0.50; dollar, $1.00).
Audrey Smith: Though she was on a different street when she found each coin, she was fortunate enough to find a fountain in a different building (one was the Veranda Restaurant) each time, and she made a different wish (one was for a Monkees reunion) at each one. From the information provided, determine the day and street upon which Smitty found each coin and the building fountain she went to and the wish she made for each one.
    1) The value of the coin Smitty found on Alder Street was exactly twice the value of the one she tossed into the fountain at the Harris Hotel. The value of the coin she found on Wednesday was exactly five times the value of the coin she found on First Street.
    2) The value of the coin she found on Saturday was exactly five times the value of the coin she tossed into the fountain at State Bank. The value of the coin on which she wished to win the lottery was exactly five times the value of the coin she found on Thursday.
    3) The coin on which she wished she could visit Rome wasn’t a penny. The coin she took to the City Hall wasn’t a nickel. She found the dollar at some point later in the week than she found the coin she took to the State Bank, but at some point earlier in the week than she found the coin on Betts Street.
    4) She found a coin on Elm Street at some point later in the week than she found the one she took to Updike Building (where she wished for sunny weather), but at some point earlier in the week than she found the one on which she wished the Cubs would win the World Series.
Audrey Smith: 5) Three coins that she found earlier than Friday are the quarter, the one she found on Cherry Street, and the one on which she wished to win the lottery. She didn’t find the half dollar on Saturday.
    6) The six coins are the one she found on Delta Street, the one she tossed into the fountain at the Updike Building, the one she tossed into the fountain at the Walpole Building, the one on which she wished for a prosperous year, the nickel, and the one she found on Tuesday.
