    word problem I need equation
    Dr. W carpeted his waiting room for $1900. Carpeting costs $2 sq foot if dr w's waiting room is 25 ft wide, what is its length?

    Well, if carpet cost $2 per square foot and he spent $1900 how many square feet did he carpet?

    this is all the info it gives me I have to find out what the variable is which is what is the length of the room I have to get the equation and then the solution but I don't know the equation so I'm stuck.

    Do you know the formula for area? Plug in the width of the room into the formula.

    You are suppose to figure out how many square feet was installed.

    How many square feet of carpet can you buy with $1900 if it cost $2 per square foot?
