    What is the function of the gyri and sulci in the brain?
    The Gyri and Sulci are the ridges and grooves respectively. So why do we have them? What is their importance for the brain?

    Gyri and sulci increase the surface area of the brain... an important evolutionary adaptation that allows for greater function/activity in the brain!
