A 10% increase means that you add 10% to the number concerned.

For example, increasing $250 by 10% is given by:

    $250 + (10% x 250) = $250 + $25 = $275

An easier way to do that is to note that the original number is a whole, that is 100%. Increase that by 10% to get 110%. The final number after the increase is thus:

    $250 x 110% = $275

Now, you do this with the rest of the numbers.

Will increase in pump intake pipe size, increase flow rate? [ 1 Answers ]

At my cabin I use a 12 volt Flojet pump to pump water from the lake to the cabin. I am using 1/2 inch plastic pipe for the intake and outlet on the pump. Would I see an increase in water flow if I increase the size of the pipe going from the lake to the pump to 3/4 plastic
