    Hi Dsettle...

    If you set this up as Y=mx+b and plug in the numbers you should be able to solve for b... ;)

    If you have trouble with that let us know, OK?

    Back to you...

    y = mx + b
    -4 = (5)(1) + b
    -4 = 5 + b
    -4 + 5 = b
    1 = b

    the equation is y = 5x + 1

    Llamanator's answer is incorrect here!

    Also note, that it is against the rules of this board to just give the answer to a homework problem... doesn't help the students learn anything.

    Can you see where you made your mistake llamanator?
