    okay so from the first one

    3x + 6y = -6

    divide this equation by 3 and rearrange for x, then use this x in your other equation. You will be able to get a value for y. Then you can finally use this value to get a value for x.

    As Capuchin says, divide the first equation by 3 to get
    x + 2y = -2. And the second equation is
    5x - 2y = 14. Add these two equations to get
    6x = 12, so x = 2,and fro the first equation we have
    2 + 2y = -2, or 2y = -4, so y = -2
