    cos(x/5) find the period of the function?
    I need to find the period of the function cosine x divided by 5

    Do you know the period of the finction cos(x)? The period of cos(x/5) is 1/5 the period of cos(x). I suggest that you try sketching the graph for cos(x/5) and see how this works.
