    The 70 (seventy) Apples and 60 (sixty) Oranges are mixed together and put into a Drum
    The 70 (seventy) Apples and 60 (sixty) Oranges are mixed together and put into a Drum. A machine is involved to pick fruit from this drum and it can only pick one fruit at a time. After picking 10 (ten) times in a row, it has picked 4 (fours) Apples & 6 (six) Oranges. What is the probability; it will pick Apple or orange in the next try.

    Work out the number of apples and oranges left in the drum. Then work out the total amount of fruits left in the drum.

    The probability of having an apple is the number of apples left divided by the total number of fruits left, and the probability of having an orange is the number of oranges left divided by the total number of fruits left.

    Now, if you want to know the probability that it takes either an apple or an orange from the drum, the probability is 1 because you are sure you are going to pick either an apple or an orange. There are no other fruits in there.
