    Don't know how to get the cube root
    Im quite confused about this, I'm trying to find the cube root of aluminum and I don't know how, for one I'm confused and for two I currently do not have a scientific calculator with me, all I know is that the atomic weight is 26.98 per mole, and the density is 2.7 g/cm^3, I have to use those calculations to get the cube root, so if you can be so kind... please help me.

    to refresh your memory. I have no idea what your trying to do.

    A density of 2.7 g/cm^3 means that 1 cubic centimeter (a block 1 cm x 1 cm x 1cm) weighs 2.7 grams.

    If you need the cube root of something, just use Google. Type 27^(1/3) in the Google search box.

    Raising to the 1/n power is the same as the nth root.

    If you really want to play with numbers, use Wolfram|Alpha Examples - Mathematics

    You always need to specify units. Is it 26.98 lollipops/mole?

    I'm sorry, I'm having a lot of problems understanding your question, are you referring to packing efficiency and the length of each side of the cube of aluminum?

    Or trying to find the volume of one mole of Aluminium?

    1 mole of Al -> 26.98 g
    2.7 g -> 1 cm^3
    1 g -> 1/2.7 = 0.37 cm^3
    26.98 g -> 0.37*26.98 = 9.99 cm^3

    That is the volume of aluminium containing 1 mole of Aluminium
