    Physics Lens and optics
    1) Yellow light with a wavelength of 596nm falls on two slits separated by a distance of 1.90 x 10-5m. The screen is 0.600m from the slit. What is the distance from the centre line to the first order bright line?

    2) A diffraction grating with 10 000 lines/cm is used on a beam of light with a wavelength of 421nm. The screen is 1.2m from the grating. Find the distance from the central bright band to the first order bright band

    3) A beam of light is passed through a double slit and a diffraction pattern is observed. One of the slits is covered up. How will the diffraction pattern change?

You are traveling down the street at 9.0 m/s when a dog runs out in from the car. If you apply the brakes immediately, resulting in a uniform acceleration of 4.1 m/s(squared), how long does it take you to stop and how far away must the dog be to avoid getting hit?
