    find th x intercepts for the parabola y= 3x^2 +2x-1:confused:

    y= 3x^2 +2x-1

    To find the x-intercepts, y must equal 0

    3x^2 +2x-1 = 0
    (3x-1) (x+1) = 0
    3x-1 = 0 OR x+1=0
    x = 1/3 OR x=-1
