    probability outcomes
    a game has three outcomes. The probability of a win is 0.4, the probability of tie is 0.5, and the probabilty of a loss is 1. what is the probability of not winning in a single play of the game?

    The probability of losing is .1, not 1.

    The probability of not winning is either losing or a tie. What do you get when you add those?
