If 1, 1, 01, 001.. then 1 is this sequence's_____. (abbrev.)

This is a crossword puzzle clue that I'm doing for extra credit. The answer has 3 letters and I believe that the first letter is L and the last is B.

I think the word would be LOG. Need more info on the series if its not correct

series should be like this after resolving.
if u remove the dot the,
1, 1/10,1/100,1/1000...
1, (1/10)^1, (1/10)^2, (1/10)^3,.
taking the log,
log1, 1log(1/10), 2log(1/10),.
