    How to do vectors
My name is chris and I am currently attending ITT technical. My question is how to do vector problems in trig.

It's been a while. If I remember right, there are a lot of polar to rectangular conversions going on.

As a quick example, I just dreampt up:

Suppose there are two vectors 1x+1y and 1x+1y. If you drew each on graph paper you would end up with two vectors sqrt(2) @ 45 deg.

If you add the vectors, you would get 2x+2Y or a vector at 45 deg with a magnitude of sqrt(8).

Note, I didn't provide straight-forward instructions, but if you do the problem on graph paper and use some basic trig, you can figure out how to do the problem and understand the method.

It's easier to do the math in rectangular form.

If you have a better example of the kind of thing you don't know how to do, then we will be happy to help you. We're not going to go through the whole of vector manipulation with you here. Most of it is basic trigonometry.
