    I have a questions about this linear equation?
    Two more than three times a number is five less than four times the number.

    What is the number?

    X is the number

    Three times the number is 3X

    Two more than three times the number is 3X + 2

    Four times the number is 4X

    Five less than four times the number is 4X -5

    The equation is 3X+2 = 4X-5

    Solve for X
