Graph parabola- opening to the side?
(y+3)^2=-1(x+1) , list vertex, focus, directrix.. I know the formulas I just don't understand how to graph it and find the directrix to these kinds

Do you know how to find the vertex, focus, directrix, etc? That's where to start.

Alternately, you simply pick a value for x and calculate y, then plot one point. Continue doing that until the graph is finished. That's probably not what your teacher wants you to do, however.

Put the equation into a form where you can recognize the vertex, focux, etc. Then extract those parts of the formula and graph from that.

    Use this as a guideline:

If you get stuck, let us know. Just solve your equation for y and then graph it.
