    electron configuration
Please help! The answer I got is 3 (not correct according to the answer key) and I'm not sure why?

The electron configuration of a particular neutral atom is:
    1s^2 2s^2 2p^6 3s^2 3p^2.

What is the number of unpaired electrons in this atom?
